We'll be selling a tremendous set of 20 club calf cows and their spring born calves.  Mr. Kenneth Boggs has chosen to have a complete dispersal of his club calf herd. The cows range from 2 years old on up, the majority are black, with a few Charolais cross cows.  They are sired by Fullback, Full Flush, Who Made Who, Payback, Who's Your Daddy, Ice Pick, Dameron Raptor and others.  This is an extremely impressive set of cows, moderate sized, big bodied, thick, stout boned and powerful, with as good udders as you can find anywhere.  Some of these are donor quality females.  The calves at their sides include several really good heifers that could sure show, but are even better cow prospects.  There are also some steers that could show.  All of the calves are sired by (and the cows are bred back to) a 4 year old black Habanero son from Kris Black.  This bull will also sell.

I'll try to get some pictures taken and posted later this week - words in no way do these cows justice, but I didn't have a camera with me when I looked at them.

They will be selling at 12 noon on October 20th, at the Clinton Livestock Auction on Hwy 183 just north of Clinton, OK.

Okay, slowly but surely I'm back with some pics.  First of all, I need to make a correction - the bull selling is not from Kris Black's - this bull was raised in this herd, and my understanding is that he is sired by the Habanero son from Blacks, and out of a Who Made Who/MA/Angus cow.  There are a few cows in the sale sired by the Habanero son as well.  I will post a list when I get one, hopefully by tomorrow evening. I  didn't have one today, so unfortunately I can't tell you exactly what the pics are - but they are all in the sale.  Also, I apologize to those of you who pm'd me yesterday - I just now was able to read those, will reply tonight.

A couple of heifers, and a steer - these are sired by the Habanero grandson mentioned above.

The bull will sell at auction like the cows and calves.  Sorry, but I never was able to get a decent pic of him.  Except for another pic of the same CharX heifer, I've posted everything I didn't delete on the spot because they weren't any good.  I don't practice my photography enough, I guess.

Thanks for your interest.

Are any of the cows registered and if so are you selling them with the papers?

What is the average age of these cows?

And are you selling them as pairs or weaning the calves off?

As far as I know, none of them are registered.

Almost all of them are 6 or younger.  There's one bred heifer and several first calf heifers.

We'll bring them into the ring as pairs, and sell the calf, then the cow, so you can buy either one or both, as you choose.

The cows will be brought into the sale barn this morning - they've already been tested and pregged, so as soon as they get them sorted, they'll be ready to look at.  A complete listing of ages, how they're bred, pregnancy status, etc... will be available there.

Several have asked how the cows sold, so I thought I'd post it here.

The cows averaged right at $2000 apiece.  The high seller was a 5 year old own daughter of Habanero at $4000.  High selling calf was the CharX heifer pictured above at $2100.  The bull brought $3100.

Thanks to everyone for your interest, and special thanks to those of you that came to the sale, and of course a big thanks to the buyers.

We're working on putting together some special consignment cow/bred heifer sales in the future, and maybe even a special consignment bull sale this spring.  If anyone here is interested in selling cattle in these, drop me a pm.
