Diamond Xcited 3X

Diamond Xcited 3X was born January 29 2010 and weighed in at 84lbs.  He is out of a 3 year old Northern Legend 3N (4th picture) daughter and by Matlock Red Sniper 1U.  On his maternal line his grand dam Diamond Julie Baroness 8J has proven herself not only to be a attractive show animal but a great producer and has recently been flushed.  The roan heifer at foot of her in this picture is Xcited's dam, Diamond Terrific Baroness 13T, who is looking like she will also a consistent producer (2nd picture). Sniper is by the Ready Go bull from the 70s that Horseshoe Creek used to have and out of a beautiful Frimley Pilsner daughter from the Circle M Candy family (Circle M Candy's Sugar Plum 6S 3rd picture).  Sugar Plum was was just crowned Reserve Champion at the Canadian National Junior Show 2010.  Sniper is co owned with Saskvalley Stockfarms and has given us thick light birth weight calves.  I am very excited about Xcited and feel that he offers calving ease and easy fleshing abilities as well as a strong maternal background. We are planning on taking more pictures this weekend of Xcited and his dam.

I just attached  a picture of Matlock Red Sniper this photo was taken he had been out working as our Junior Herdsire last summer.  His first calf crop averaged under 80lbs and were completely unassisted out of many first calf heifers. The Sniper calves are all patterning like Xcited smooth, deep and thick. Sniper worked in both the Diamond herd this spring and is now working in the Saskvalley herd for the summer breeding season. 

Xcited 3X's actual birth weight was 84 lbs. unassisted.
