I agree.  You don't have to say thing s like that here.  I have said it befor and will say it again.  I have had good luck with the bull and will still use him in the right situiations.  Never found one that could do it all.  It's too bad that the he has become old news so quickly, seen some real good cattle out of him.  I would take it if I didn't already have some on had.  By the way buckeye(Andy?), when are those SULL Rose TIP calves do?  Do I still have dibs on one of those heifers when you get one?

Have a friend that has used Salute for several years now. All I"ve seen is some awesome heifers with no dead cows in sight.

Same here. We have used him with no dead cows. I really like his females as cows, we have a couple in production that would be hard for me to let go of.

Even if the bull is a hard calver, there is another, more tactful way to say it:  this bull should be used on mature cows, expect large birth weights.  I don't know a thing about the bull.  Don't believe in pulling any punches but do it nicely.
