April Perfect Timing.  She's registered 1/2 Shorthorn.  LOADS of hair, good thickness, has a really feminine front..wouldn't sell her, but I want a purebred.  Asking 3k, with the right to keep 6 embryos or one flush, whichever is greater.  Also included is fitting and clipping of the heifer if taken to NAILE, Jr. Natl's, a State Fair in a state surrounding mine.  This is a serious heifer for a serious exhibitor.

Dang, you're 'in Illinois with NO snow???!!  Wanna trade farms???

We traded the 2 inches if ice for 4 inches of standing water and mud!  At least the cows wont break their legs trying to get to the feeder now!

Since Justin is a good guy, I'll throw in 4 free straws of Doc Holliday to the buyer of this heifer.  Buyer pays shipping or pick up in Pontiac, IL.  Or Jackson, TN.

This heifer is really nice, I've seen her in person a few times.  She wont disappoint.

Whats her dam?

She's a Hoosier Hot Shot daughter.  Real thick, real nice cow.  I think she showed real well too.

BTW, I see that you are looking for a steer... he's got one of those too.  Maybe you could workout a package deal.

Like TJ said, her dam is a Hoosier Hot Shot (Calberta Hustler x 734) x GS Touche (PB Shorthorn).  This is the first calf the cow has raised, her calf last year was stillborn.  The cow was champion or reserve over 10 times in her limited show career (I think we only took her out to 11 or 12 shows), and she won her class at IL State Fair.  3/4 sib to the heifer calf was a Res. Division champ at the IL State Fair Open Horned show this year.

I may or may not have forgotten to add that in the only time the heifer calf has been shown, she was Reserve Champ AOB Prospect calf, and the youngest calf in the show by two months.

Being Calberta Hustler in her pedigree...any chance of maintainer papers????  She looks like she's pretty well broke and my little boy is looking for one if the price and papers are right.

Her momma has Mainetainer papers, but this girl is only 1/8 Maine, so not able to get papers on her. I'm not sure how old your son is, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend this heifer for a first time showman. She's not evil, but she's got a little bit of an attitude.

I will throw in a couple of straws of ArSuLu Legacy too to the new buyer if it helps Justin out. Great kid and is really focused on raising the right cattle.

Dito I'll throw in two units of Wild Side as well. Must agree 100%.I'll make sure Justin has it at Jr. Nationals when he is puttin a fit job on this heifer for the new owner. Great kid, works hard, super personality and a great family. Even if he is an ILLINI. I really can not figure out why people are missing the boat on this heifer.Ask Justin about his Wild side cow!!!!

If I had an extra spot I would pick this girl up. That is 6 straws of quality semen and a super heifer. DANG. Just me  you should buy this gal for your daughter. Appendix shorty in the pasture would look mighty fine.

TJ, Stu, and Jeff,

I'm completely taken aback at your very generous offers to donate semen on three very good bulls to my cause.  I really appreciate it and all the kind words.  I hope that if and when someone buys her that they enjoy her and have success with her.  She is BY FAR the best calf we have ever produced, and her momma is only three years old.  I think this is the start of better things to come!

Justin
