Meet Bluff Country Top Gun!  FOR SALE PRIVATE TREATY!  This cool registered angus herd sire prospect is now available!  Sired by our great herd sire, RTM Top Shelf, Top Gun is molded in his daddy's footsteps!  Sound structured, big bodied and thick made, with a long, cool front end. As an added bonus, he has extremely good hair and an excellent disposition as well!   He was born March 5th, 2009 with an 84 lb actual birthweight.  We weaned off at 758 lbs to ratio 111, and his actual weight on March 1st 2010 was 1260 lbs, adjusted yearling weight of 1275 lbs to ratio 106.  He was fertility tested and examined, had a 40 cm scrotal and excellent semen test Feb 26th.  For more information on this top prospect, feel free to call me on my cell phone at 507-273-7205, email or PM me.  We are located in SE Minnesota, but I will be going through WI & IL on March 26th and 27th and could help with delivery.  Don't miss out on this top prospect...he will do a lot of things right for your program!  He would work excellent in an Angus, Simmi or club calf operation.  Contact me for pricing... Thanks!  Mark Holmen - Bluff Country Cattle - 507-273-7205

Thanks for the inquiries on the bull!  He is still for sale...and although bigger names and ranches could do a better job merchandising a bull like this for big money, he is priced VERY REASONABLY!  Would just like to see him go to a good home that can appreciate what he brings to the table.  With all the talk about BIG calves, and POOR structured calves by these AI bulls, consider a quality bull like this that will make them sound, make them soft, add some rib and performance and keep the look!  AND you can sleep at night knowing the calving ease is bred in too!  Excellent disposition as well!  Feel free to contact me for more details and pricing...thanks once again!  Mark  ;D

Top Gun is still available, looking for some girlfriends, and needs a good home!  He is priced to sell at $2600 and is well worth the money!  Can possibly help with trucking to help out as well.  Any questions, just give me a call at 507-273-7205!!  Thanks again... Mark

PS  We have 4 yearling bulls, all by Top Shelf on our website...and will not have any Top Shelf sons for sale next year, as all 5 calves this spring by him were heifers!  Get them while they last!  ;D

My wife and I took a road trip this past weekend up to see my brother & his wife @ their new home and slipped up to see the Bluffcountry cattle. The herd sire prospect,(Top Gun) is IMO a very good complete bull and anyone that is looking or needing a top 10% in the country herd bull should take a look @ Mark's bull. You'll drive a long distance trying to find one as complete. Mark has a super set of yearling heifer mates to the bulls, with a few standouts in the pen. His cows are moderate framed, deep bodied cows with super udders. Thank You Mark for taking the time to show me your operation. BTW, beautiful country in the Preston,Mn. area. Brent, <beer>

Top Gun is now an "experienced" herd sire prospect...still for sale!  One of the boy's show heifers came in heat yesterday morning, so we introduced her to Top Gun.  Needless to say, he knew how to get the job done, and both are much happier!  ;D  She's a really nice heifer, and I have enough confidence in what I think he can do that I thought it would be a great mating.  We'll know next Jan for sure!  Feel free to call me with any questions...you wouldn't be disappointed in him!  Thanks!

A Special "Thank You" to Stacey Gravenhof and Gravenhof Farms (http://www.gravenhoffarms.com/) for their purchase of Top Gun for their purebred angus operation!  They have an excellent operation and it is a pleasure to be working with them!  Thanks again...  <beer>
