My son and I  stopped by last night.  Nice group of calves.

My favorite was the angus heifer.  My son wasn't interested, but somebody will LOVE that angus.  WOW!

We stopped by to see the calves today--a nice variety of calves that should suit alot of people! We have our favorites, now we'll see how many people agree with us!  If you' re  in the area, stop by to see the cattle--a very handy location and Chap and the rest of the consignors are great hosts.

The calves look good, really like that Q-dog heifer, however interested in the Q-dog steer, do you have any more pictures of him?

i don't have any additional pics of the Q Dog steer.  The pic does represent him quite well.  Several that have seen him could attest.
as a side note:  These calves are all weaned and on feed for about 30 days.  The weaning stress has been handled and calves will continue to look better all the time.

For what it's worth, he is my daughter's personal favorite in the group!

I spoke with Matt Jannsen today about the Angus heifers.  The Blackout x Raptor heifer is a full sister to Jannsen McDreamy who was the champion Angus steer at the 08 Iowa State Fair and also a class winner at the 08 NJAA Nationals in Des Moines.  I will look at her on Saturday.  Sounds like she is a real rip. He also has a good Raptor heifer in the sale.

Thanks for all the comments about the cattle.  They continue to look better every day, and the cool weather has been awfully nice for the sale.  The sale ends next Wednesday 9/9/09 at 7pm.  Please have your bids in by that time.  Cattle need to be picked up by 10/1/09.  We can help with transportation needs as we will have trailers going lots of directions.  Please feel free to Call Matt Jannsen at 319-430-4087 with bids or transportation questions.  Thanks again for all the help from the Planet.
Chap
