We would love to send you some from Kansas, but I don't think it works that way.  We install septic systems and got a call yesterday on one we had put in, they are under water by about 4 feet, but feel really good because the houses a couple of miles from them you can only see the roof.  They say no matter how bad it gets,  it can always be worse, I think these thinkgs happen as a reminder of how much we have to be thankful for.

We have lost half of our watermelon crop due to the rain and all of our cantaloupes.  Getting on average 2 inches per day and still counting in East Texas.  The new show barn is one month behind schedule.  I had to have dirt (Mud) hauled in yesterday to reinforce the concrete forms.  I can not tell you what color our animals are, they all look like caked mud pies.  This is scary because now it is in hurricane season!  NHR what part of the Hill Country are you located in? I hope not near Marble Falls, 18 inches in one day is unreal.

Well actualy we are just north of Corsicana in a little called Rice, although my uncle lived out there in Marble Falls, due to all the rain he has had to move to the Jacksonville, east texas area. Anyways looks like summer might want to start pretty soon.

You are not far at all, maybe 1 1/2 hour drive.  Jacksonville is 50 miles from my house.  We got some more rain Sunday, I don't think summer will start until August.  When I get a chance I would like to stop in and see your stock, or maybe we will run into each other at a show.  If you happen to come into the Nacogdoches area let me know.

I'll take white cattle that won't stay clean in mud over any cattle coughing and having runny eyes from dusty conditions anyday.
