My very good friends who are dispersing the last of their cattle also have a very good Red Heeler and a guard llama that need homes.  "Jocko", the Heeler, is a very young, neutered male who has tremendous herding instinct but is still very bidable.  He has been the main man for gathering and sorting since my friend's health has gotten to be a challenge with working cattle.  "Harley" is a neutered male llama that has been guarding the calves against coyotes for several years and is very good at his job.  He's not a pet and knows his job. He has been haltered to be sheared and handled.  He should bond to a new herd fairly easily.  Here are pictures of both Harley and Jocko.  email for them is [email protected].  If you want a phone number, please pm me with your "real" name.  Thanks!

the picture of that dog, lmao!

That's his "silly Jocko" face!  He's a really cool Heeler.  If I didn't already have 2 Aussies, I'd take him home in a minute. He's not quite as "hard" as some Heelers although he does love to work cattle.

LOL, not quite Jason, but they will eat anything that your cows and or sheep will eat.  Llamas as guard animals usually fit in real well with the herd.

The animals are in Michigan.  Llamas eat what any other ruminant eats.  You can email the owners at the email address in my first post.  Nice critters and they belong to friends of mine, not me.

I know they are tough.  We had a bad coyote problem a couple years ago, but they seemed to have thinned out a bit.

llama eat coyotes  ;D

You'd think so as before they turned out the llamas with the herd, they had some trouble with coyotes stalking the calves.  When the llamas went in, the coyotes left town!
