The heifer pictured below  is still on the cow. I am not planning on taking more of her until she is at my place in about two or three weeks. This is the only photos we have of her at this time. She is out of a bull called Triple X that we raised and is in IL at Joel Brooks Shorthorns. He is a Vortec son out of a Canadian pedigree cow. Her dam is is a M&M Wild Thing(Full brother to X-ray) x Windstar. I think she is flat out cool. That is why I do not want to photo her again until it can be done well. We have a Vortec heifer for sale as well. The Vortec is priced at $1500.I have one Durham red heifer, that is younger and looks really good priced at $1000. If you are interested in the Triple X heifer please call. I attached a photo of her dam as well.

Ok so I did not wait to get her in the show barn and clipped!  Remember the days  when calves by bulls like  D. Stuff, Steermaker, D.Vision and Windstar steers would have a shot at the Grand steer at any given show. Where have they gone? The have gone the way of so called steer bulls. If you are looking for a very stout structured monster hipped female. There are enough light muscled shorthorn females out there. Heck we have a few . This heifer has a shot of all the great shorthorn steer sires in her pedigree. Her mother will be a serious donor at our place. She is a first calf heifer and has proven herself the first time out of the gate. If you are looking for a big framed female look some where else. If you want a yak haired steer producer this is the one.

What age is she?  If you will be around this week sometime, I would like to come look at her and whatever other shorthorn heifers you have.

I had to ad these very rough photos of what I think may be one of our best steers for down south yet. We have had some very good families show some of our steers in the Texas Jr Livestock Assoc. The Bridges family exhibited the steer in our avatar/home web page to a second place point in the TJLA sold by Tony Austin. We have since sold more steers to them that will be seen this winter.
This steer is a Wild Side out of a Vortec/Tequilla dam. A maternal half brother by Gizmo was sold by Caldwell/Austin/Copus two years ago. We have a full brother yearling bull to this calf we call Dr. Feelgood that we chose to prove on cows and not picture as a baby. This calf is not cut. If you are looking for a stout outcross steer sire here he is. Again this is a rough photo and I can get more. This calf would slick shear and still have a massive hip !!!!!

I am going to post he is priced at $4000 firm and worth every dollar. NO TRUMP,NO SONNY,NO DOUBLE STUFF,NO SOLUTION  absolute outcross  TH FREE PEDIGREE

The Calf is still a bull if you want him that way. If whomever buys him wants to cut him they can. The price is the same.

Hey Jeff-
I think she would look real good next to this Pacer cow down here in Texas! I might just have to take a road trip up there to come see her... Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

You are always welcome here! Somehow, somewhere and someday we will get a chance to meet and talk about those cows of yours. Hope at least one will be bred to Wild Side. I attached a picture of a Durham red heifer you need to come up here and look at. I just may try to road trip down that way again if I can. I think I may have two steers to go your way again. We think pretty high of the heifer you are referring to. She is as stout as we have in younger purebred heifers. Well send me photos when that pacer or the others calve.
