After much consideration and traveling to shows (fitting and helping families) I have observed some below par showmanship within the ring (both people i know and dont know). I have decided to give some showmanship lessons to try and help pay for school. Either I can come to you or you can come to me, I can find a place for us to meet in College Station where i will be at school or we can meet in Caldwell where i grew up which is 30 miles closer west. I am going to be charging my mileage and $15 an hour for the lessons. Everybody that I've talked to thanks this is extremely cheap but I want to see how it will work out and I also enjoy working with the kids and their families. My name is Kevin Doonan, an 18 year old Freshman at Texas A&M majoring in Animal Science. You can contact me on here or call me at (979) 820-4388 if you have any questions or comments.

Please call or contact for pricing, I like to be straight forward with cost so there is no surprise and that every part of the deal is a pleasure and success.

Thank you,
Kevin Doonan

good luck! I watched a show this last weekend where a young man could have won his class, and competed for a division championship if he would have gotten his heifers head up, and would have stuck her in the loin. I felt bad for him, and his folks are nice people, but they didn't grow up showing. Get some video so you can show these young folks the proper way...

Good idea, Kevin.  I hope it works out well for you.  I can tell my kids something occasionally, and they might not get it.  But let someone else tell them the exact same thing, and sometimes it just clicks.

Kevin tought my brother and I how to show! That's a cheap price and it's worth it to learn from somebody who knows their stuff.. And the showmanship buckles make you feel pretty good too (and he's helped us earn alot if those )  <cowboy>

Its so nice to see that I am not the only one that feels this way. It drives me crazy when a calf could do so much better in the show ring if it's owner knew how to show it. I'm seriously considering having a showmanship clinic up my way. The problem is getting people that would want to show up to the darn thing and want to learn. :) Good Luck!
