For anyone going to the Southern Ohio Smackdown sales next weekend, or otherwise in the area, come about 60 miles north and we'll have about 30 head of March born babies priced first come first serve. Our set looks a little different than most of those southern ones, being all Marches but about 4 late Febs and 5-6 Aprils. They are a little more geared to be fats for the Midwestern county and state fairs in early August of 2010, versus being feeder calves this summer, though there is enough quality in the top end to show em any place, any time.

The clipped (sort of) calf is a Sunseeker x Aftershock/Angus bull/steer. He is really sound, stout, hairy. A very good prospect, not great pictures. These calves are just getting started, we don't push them unnecessarily. They aren't even on creep yet, but you can tell that this one has the right parts and his mom has had a string of good ones.

The smokey blaze is an Alias x 1/2 Simm heifer. She is really neat marked, hairy, and really sound, with plenty of dimension. Also out of a super cow.

There is also a heifer that is an Aftershock x Chiangus that is worth the trip from anywhere. I'll try to get her pictured soon, but she would be a real player in the heifer divisions in the right hands.

Everything is very reasonably priced. PM or email me at [email protected] for details and my phone number

Thanks for looking!

TTT for the weekend. I spent a little more time in the cows/calves this week than usual and I am really starting to like this set.

I had the opportunity to see the calves in person this past weekend. I would advise you all to take a peak if at all possible. There is a nice variety of calves. I think may can work in alot of different situations.
