There is a new electronic heat detection system on the market that is completely self contained and requires no computer. There are two componets of the system, the cow unit and handheld. The cow unit is a hard plastic box containing a switch and memory board with a plastic tube coming out of the side. When the tube is compressed a stand is recorded. The time of the first stand, last stand, and number of stands are recorded. The handheld unit can scan the units within 100 feet either by pasture of individually. visit www.bullseyeheatdetectionsystem.com or call 1-877-4-NO-BULL. If this sounds like it would help you, we would love to earn your business.

Not sure it is much different from the HeatWatch® Estrus Detection System.  Appears to do the same thing, without the convenience of transmitting the results to your home computer.  Pricing looks similar.  Am I missing something here?  Has anyone used either system to give un a testimonial?

We have used the heatwatch and it works real well. A notebook computer is a must though! We got about 75% accuarcy in our commercail herd when we used. When we use it in my small herd we get 100% accuracy

Our system differs from the HeatWatch System in the fact that all the information is retained on the cow unit so the system can be used anywhere anytime. We have used this system for about 14 years on our cattle with outstanding results. We designed this system for the herds that were trying to A.I. cows while working a full time job. Call me anytime, I would love to visit about our system. 1-877-4-NO-BULL.
Thanks for looking,

Can you reset this without touching the cow?  Say if you have a creative back scratcher that will still set one off like she has been mounted despite the fact that you have cut every low hanging branch you see?

Yes, as long as you are in range of the cow unit you can reset it while she stands in the pasture. Also, there is a function you can turn on if you wish that will automatically reset the count if there is not more than one stand in four hours, but that is completely optional.
