This is an October 2009 model Simbrah Donor Prospect I am trying to help a young man in Natchitoches, LA sell.
LMC Red Velvet is out of the highly popular Johny Walker bull that LaMuneca produced then syndicated and a very successful LaToya donor at LaMuneca.  This heifer is bred to LMC Wave Amigo for a April/May 2012 calf.
LMC Red Velvet has been undefeated in Louisiana Jr Shows and stood 3rd at the 2011 Houston Open Show.  I was not present at the show but have heard several people remark that they feel she should have won the class.  This heifer is an extremely easy keeper, very growthy, huge boned, sound as a cat, extremely deep, thick, and has a ton of rib shape.  I feel this heifer should absolutely be in someone's Simbrah donor pen and could even produce some very competive American steers if you bred her to one of the smaller clubbies.  She is without a doubt one of the thickest American heifers I have ever seen.
He has dropped the price on the heifer to $5,000 which I feel she is worth just as a cow carrying a natural calf each year, and a steal for her as a donor prospect.  This young man would love to keep this heifer to flush and sell calves off of himself, unfortunately he is not set up to keep a cow, so she must go to make room for the next show calf.  Also willing to consider trades on a good spring born clubby type registerable heifer or a steer.
