Friends & Family Club Calf Sale (new pictures 9-30)

We will be hosting the 5th annual Friends & Family club calf sale on Saturday, October 2nd, 2010 at J.Becraft Family Cattle in Edwardsburg Mi.Viewing starts at 1 pm the bid board opens at 2 pm and the board closes at 3pm. We will be selling 15-20 steers, a couple heifers, and maybe a shorthorn bull prospect. The calves will be sired by Sunseeker, Shake & Bake, Eyes on the Money, Meltdown, Lifeline, Dr. Who and more.The 2 calves pictured below are a couple steers that will be available. The black and white steer is a Shake & Bake x 20/20 vision and the red steer is a Brass Monkey x Double Down. Both are still very green and will update pictures closer to the sale and will post other calves as we get them pictured.

Here is another calf that will sell next weekend. He is a Brass Monkey x 20/20 vision and a maternal sib to the black and white steer. Is front end looks big because I tried to clip him in a squeeze chute and it didnt work to well.

Here is an Eyes on the Money X Serrano steer that will sell this Saturday. These pictures do not do this calf any justice. He is a soft made, huge butt ( it rubs on the sides of a squeeze chute), and sound. He is not the most well behaved animal in the word as you can tell by the swollen chin from pulling back. He is making progress but he is not for an inexperienced showman. If you have any questions feel free to pm me or call me at 574/309-1339.

Here is one of the 2 heifers that will be selling Saturday. She is a Shake & Bake x 1/2 simi cow. She was born 3-27. This one will make a nice show heifer but I believe she will be a great club calf momma.

Here is a Big Cat x Radioactive shorthorn plus steer that sells tomorrow.

The only bids that i am aware of were handled by Jesse and all of them were out bid by people in attendence. The blak & white calf sold for
