Where are you located? We have a purebred angus commercial herd, does your county fair require them to be registered?

Were are you locat. The angus show in our area are really tuff and i would bet they are in most places.  we show in jr cattle shows and calves cost from 2000 and up.  You may find a diamond in the rough and spend less, but if the calf is nice she will cost 2 +

Post your location and someone from your area will set you up.

Lamoine Valley Angus Sale is usually the day after Thanksgiving and is held in Macomb. IL.
Heifers last year were very reasonable.

Good luck!

Hi Colin,

We live in Northwest Indiana....only about 20 minutes east of the Illinois border.  We're having a sale this fall and we're probably not located too far from you.  You're certainly invited to one of our open house dates to the view the cattle.  The dates for the open are 9/2-9/5 and 9/9-9/11.  Bidding will take place 9/10-9/13.  You can view pictures, videos, and pedigrees of our sale cattle at www.cattleinmotion.com and click on "Dawson-Miller Featured Attraction Sale".

Our personal website has some additional information.  www.dawsonangus.com

Either way, good luck finding an Angus!  Indiana and Illinois offer some oustanding competition and have great Junior Associations that I'd encourage you to become involved with!  Let me know if we can help in any way.

We are located in Eastern Iowa, between Dubuque & Cedar Rapids, and have several nice, competitive Angus heifers for sale.  They are priced from $1500 and up.  A Feb. Heifer that we raised and showed was just named Reserve Champion Heifer Calf at the Iowa State Fair.  319-465-5058 for prices and breeding.  PS...will also have some nice steers.  Good luck looking for your first heifer, and I agree, join your state & local Junior Angus Associations.  You will connect with breeders in your area and become involved in a great breed.

Drive up to Oconomowoc, WI (between Madison and Milwaukee) to look at two April heifer calves. Both will be halter broken this fall and weaned in early November. They will all be signed up for Badger Kick Off the first weekend of December.

SAV Pioneer daughter of YH Elba 728 # 14448130  is priced at $1,200.

BR Midland daughter of a TC Freedom cow #15674230  is also priced at $1,200.

Both of the dams were former show heifers. Elba was 4th in class at the National Junior Angus Show in 2004. Please call 262-443-3203 if you wish to discuss further. I will post some photos soon. If you give me an email address I could send some pasture shots.

Angus kid-----We will have a couple steers (Mar & Aprils) that I will sell for alot over market price.  They are too young for us to sell as bulls in our Iowa Bull Tests. They are out of our Iowa State Fair Junior Champion Angus Bull by EXAR Pit Boss.  Thanks for asking!

I don't know if you have decided whether you want a heifer or a steer, but I have a nice Angus steer calf that was born on March 15th for sale. Today was only the second day of tying him up and he is super quite already. I just weaned him a few days ago and his weight tonight was exactly 700 lbs. He is sired by Brand Name and he has some really good potential as a county fair steer. Deep ribbed, big boned, and super wide from the rear. He is priced at $1200. I live in Oconomowoc, WI (between Madison and Milwaukee). Text or call if you are interested.
(262) 443-9264 I can also email pictures.
