Just reading all the ideas and locations of interest; I think the two central locations would be great. I am from Michigan and would be very interested in offering two or three prospective Show/Breeding entries (Calves). September is a better month to get the April/May calves some condition. Also, let's not get too carried away with wanting this sale to be to high end, otherwise you are going to limit your market and then all the fun in having this first annual sale will just be for not! You are building this new site and have all walks of cattle people that have an interest here, lets not make this a too expensive of a sale.
Good Quality of calves will be offered and in time , Quality will take care of it's self.  Dori's place sounds excellent and is located where Ohio/Ind/Ill/Iowa/Mi /Wis  could participate. If wanted, you could move the sale location to another place among  these states in this region.
Also, the entries shouldn't have to be there any sooner than two or three days prior; just as though you were going to a show.
This location has lots of motels and eating facilities between Dori's place and Michigan State.
I HOPE THIS COULD BE A GO FOR THIS  YEAR. ALREADY CHECKING OUT  MY CALVES AND SELECTING THE PROSPECTS!

Let's not make this too difficult the first time, we can make this happen!   Thanks for everybody's input.
Let's not make this too difficult, GOOD LUCK,

                                                                                                                Rick

Nope, nothing has really came about.

committees need to be formed for areas across the country and regions.

Ohio, Kentucky and W.VA should all be in the same group as far as areas go.
The livestock (show) industry is a tough one- if you've never had anything worth a damn you might as well go on the internet and rundown everybody you can.

what would be awesome is if we went to that place that tj posted on page two and made it a show sale then show there should be a show the first day and only like the top 30 cows can sell bring in a collage judging team to judge them all then rank from top to bottom sell in that order and after the sale have another show and the top five should win $  back just bring in another judge for the second day im sure if you advertise a bunch on here you could get real nice steers there and alot of buyers. i say for every calf that gos threw the sale the owner should pay like $300 or like a % that would give you enough money to give the champion the next day like 1000 res 500 3rd 250 4th 100 and 5th  50 and you could even do the sale of 15 steer 15 heifers and do separate shows for the $ the next day. you would just have to come up with the two different judges and have a group of people in charge
how about a group of people get together and email each other we have a few months to work it out
and i think it should be a big deal like when people ask where is that calf from and you say steer planet sale in what ever sate its in people should be like dangggggggggggg! you might even get some one like kirk stierwalt to come judge it that would be awesome
