There is one thought that they came over no earlier than 25,000 through the bearing straight area. They were possibly kinda trapped there till 15,ooo years ago when they came south through Canada into the U.S.. I beleive the clovis people are thought to be around 11,500 years ago. There is a site just down the road where a dalton point was found in a bison kill spot dated around 7,000 years ago. This is fascinating stuff. Kinniweck man is a skeleton found believed to look like a Caucasin found in Washington state. I think he was dated 10,000 years ago. There was a stone spearhead found imbedded in his pelvis I believe. There may have been multiple crossings of multiple people. I think some mamouth bones that have been found dated 18,000 years ago that may show butcher marks on bones but this haven't been proven yet. Smiley

I am currently reading "The great journey-the peopling of ancient america." by Brian M. an. He does a great job of explaining theories and excavations. I believe in god and I alsways thought it would be cool, if it ended up that the garden of eden was in Kansas say on mount sunflower or something. Current wisdom says man originated in africa and the traversed to north america though.

I read an article once that claimed Mustangs with the Paint/Pinto color pattern and the Nez Perce Indians Appaloosa horses "speckling" color pattern had been genetically linked to Icelandic horses and that they were actually decendants of horses brought here by Icelandic discoverers many years prior to Columbus, Cortez, or any of those folks.  I don't know if it reallly has ever been proven but it would sure put an interesting twist on the "historical facts" we were taught in school, wouldn't it?

Like the "Sipapu" belief?  Navajos and Hopis believe their people emerged from sipapu's ....  secret passages that brought them from the dark underworld, up to a wonderful world of light.  I am no trained theologian, but if you open your mind, native american creation beliefs are not that far from Christianity's.

there is no such thing as a native american.  america wasn't even named yet.  various people have been killing each other since cain and abel.

i have always wondered why caucasians, and asian people left africa, or if they mutated after they either left or were kicked out.  if they were kicked out, why can't they return to africa without discrimination?
