Spent last weekend and yesterday clipping so I decided to take some pictures.  I am especially proud of these heifers because they are out of herd bull and home grown.

The first one is a January heifer.

The next two is of a March heifer.  This was her first day leading (I think she did super) so she didn't want to stand still for the camera.

Give me some feed back if you will.

He's a Salers.  The heifers are purebred.  The bulls name is Iron Man.

I would prefer the 2nd one. Do you have a picture of their sire? The first one looks like she has some structural issues, shoulder and post legged. The 2nd looks more towards ideal, but its really hard to critque her with her moving her head and all. Do you have any other pictures of calves out of this bull? It would be interesting to see if most of his calves resemble the first heifer or the second. Don't like the 1st one, but the second one looks like a dandy. Good luck with her.

There not structural problems, but their toes are a little longer than we like.  We have an appointment scheduled to have them clipped this week so hopefully that will straighten things out.  None of the calves out of this sire have any structural problems other than their toes which makes them look like they have problems, but with care it can be fixed.

Here is the sire as a yearling.  He was shown at Louisville (Grand Champ) Kansas City Royal (Grand Champ) Denver (Reserve).  When we bought him my dad did not even notice what he had accomplished.  He was so caught up in the moment on bidding he didn't even mean to buy him.  Later we were on our way home from the ranch in Kansas where we bought him and noticed in the footnotes what he had won.  So were proud of him.
