We have a darn good lamb, but have a problem.  My daughter (who is a pretty good shower) can get him to brace at home. He looks great.  Our problem is, when he gets to a show, he will not brace at all.  Its very fustrating having the breeder upset thinking we don't work the lambs ect.  I've shown lambs for years and never had this happen. I feel like I've let her down not knowing how to help her.
We've tried the stand, the trailer, even a swat on the butt.  It works great here, but not sure how to get him to brace at a show.
HELP! thanks :)

what frustration... practice with the lamb at home in a show setting.. many lambs, load him on the trailor take him to the neighbors to brace.. you know, get him comforable in public and different places/ settings.

it does take practice.

I agree with the others, just have a little show at your farm with your kids and pertend to be the judge and then he will do it at shows
