The Big Show / Re: Where did $148,000 heifer go?

$148,000 heifer??? I was there and nothing went for even close to that. I think high seller was $24,000.

In the sale report, it read that lot 1, a Rumor Mill x Hard Core heifer, sold for $145,000.  The comma was placed at the wrong spot; she actually brought $14,500.  We were very pleased with how the Rumor Mill calves sold as a whole.

Pat Wolfe

WOW 14,500 is still a great selling price out of a rookie bull. What kind of calves have you been seeing out of powerful clubbybred heifers. I have been seeing alot out your bull on here. I bet your very pleased.

this past summer i used sullivans peace pellets on 2 fat steers for 30 days leading up to fair. I really think it helped. it just made them take things in better. they did not act all doped up too. i also like calf calm for short term use but dont overdose them or they will be wanting to lay down when you dont want them to.(like in the ring!)

What are your thoughts on Walks Alone calving ease? I bred him to my simmy/angus 4th calver that has some power and bone.
I bred a simmi cow to him and she calved a bull 9 days past normal gestation. that calf was a spit fire. the best calf on the place but he made the trip to the salebarn.

I dont know if it cost anything to display them but you ar egoing to have alot of expenses. Your going to need a banner, 100's of flyers, idk what ur status as a fitter is but ur going to need 2-3 guys at the chute, truck all your stuff there, (that means about everything you would take to a jacvkpot but for a week+. pics of the bull calf? brredding?

I think the name could have been a lot worse.. At least this one doesn't have to be censored to your 8 year olds.....................

very good point.  I agree 100%.
"daddy, can we buy chocolate milk semen?!! He must be really good!!!"
