Hard to tell at that age , he's got a lot of growing to do yet. Looks like he will throw some grow and power in his calves. He does have a bit much front end for me but to each his own.

I agree with the length comments , good looking pair. Based on the pictures I'd have to say neither one is real great in the depth of body department though.

I've never used Sturdy but I've sure though about it plenty. I would sure think from a female standpoint he'd make some fancy , fertile , perfect udder cows. I'm also guessing depth and softness of body is his downfall. I'd love to see some calves out of him if anyone has any pics ?

Agree totally with the calving ease , vigorous calves at birth , and deep body soft made body. They seem to lack power and width though. I also had a tough time getting them stuck at A.I. time though , always the last few to calve , and in the end that's why there is none here anymore. Not taking anything away from the bull , that's just my experience , the good and the bad !

Easy now lol ! You've all got a point , black , red , both crossbreeding infused color patterns but the blue is where I draw the line ! Seriously thought many times about going back to fleck cattle !!!! My father tells me all the time my black baldys aren't Simmental , their white face Angus , he's got a point......

To each their own but I sure wouldn't want any blue roan simmys for anything ! That's a Shorthorn trademark that should be left with the Shorthorn breeders period ! Nothing wrong with them but it won't ever be happening here. Sometimes I believe the " hodge podge " factor goes way too far.

I've shot quite a few Muleys with a 257 over the years , mine loved the 115 gr Nosler bullet. Smoking fast long range rifle , but then I met the 264 Win Mag and haven't looked back. I believe a 26 inch barrel is min on both calibers to ring out the velocity that made them famous ! Both picture perfect long range deer / antelope guns in my opinion.

Well I'm pretty proud of my 7 year old son , opening morning he braved -5 weather with -20 wind chills in our blind and got it done ! His first buck ever with my muzzle loader ! I loaded it down to 70 grains and got him some shooting sticks , 80 yards one shot ! Its all about getting them outdoors in any way shape or form ! Good luck to all the hunters on here this season !
