The Big Show / Inventory sell out
« on: March 02, 2014, 01:41:56 PM »
I know there is a semen/embryo for sale section on here, but I can not find it.  Sorry!
Anyone interested in a list of semen and a few embryos we have available for sale at a very reduced rate please send me a PM.  I had a list on here a while back, last fall.  We will be at the Ohio Beef Expo and would be able to settle up and deliver semen there.
Basically we purchased an old facility that was a former bull stud.  We have had the tanks checked and all the semen has been properly maintained and everything the vet checked was good.  We have several thousand units of beef, dairy, and deer semen.  Also if you had semen at Genetic Connections and never got it back please contact me ASAP.  We will be disposing of all semen once breeding season is over.

Semen & Embryos For Sale / inventory sell out
« on: November 21, 2013, 11:40:42 AM »
We are completely selling out of all semen inventory.  We have Beef bulls, Dairy bulls, Bucking Bulls, and White Tail Deer Semen.  Embryos will also be available soon.
PM me if you would like a list, I tried to attach the list on here, but it must be to large.

The Big Show / Genetic connections
« on: October 27, 2013, 01:48:33 PM »
I noticed a while back there was a post about someone wanting their semen back from the former Genetic Connections.  If anyone does still have inventory there, or knows someone who does PM me.

Also, I know there were rumors that the tanks went dry.  Just this past Friday we had a local vet come to test inventory from each tank.  3 of the 4 tanks tested good.  The 4th tank we already knew it was probably bad, and all of its inventory (mostly dairy bulls) will be discarded.

« on: December 10, 2008, 09:54:56 AM »
Hi guys,
I am about to pull my hair out over my crockpot.  I tried overnight oatmeal and I don't know what happend, but it burnt and I CAN NOT get that last of it off the inside of my crock pot.  I have of course soaked and scrubbed with soap and hot water, I have also tried soaking with vinegar.  Does anyone have any ideas on what to do?  It is the ceramic type of crockpot.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  And I have vowed to never again cook with our the crockpot liners!

The Big Show / The Wife from you know where..
« on: July 21, 2008, 07:07:33 AM »
I got this on my e mail and thought it was pretty funny.

A police officer pulls over a speeding car. The officer says, ' I clocked you at 80 miles per hour, sir.'
The driver says, 'Gee, officer I had it on cruise control at 60, perhaps your radar gun needs calibrating.'
Not looking up from her knitting the wife says: 'Now don't be silly dear, you know that this car doesn't have cruise control.'
As the officer writes out the ticket, the driver looks over at his wife and growls, 'Can't you please keep your mouth shut for once?'
The wife smiles demurely and says, 'You should be thankful your radar detector went off when it did.'
As the officer makes out the second ticket for the illegal radar detector unit, the man glowers at his wife and says through clenched teeth, 'Damit, woman, can't you keep your mouth shut?'
The officer frowns and says, 'And I notice that you're not wearing your seat belt, sir. That's an automatic $75 fine.'
The driver says, 'Yeah, well, you see officer, I had it on, but took it off when you pulled me over so that I could get my license out of my back pocket.'
The wife says, 'Now, dear, you know very well that you didn't have your seat belt on. You never wear your seat belt when you're driving.'
And as the police officer is writing out the third ticket the driver turns to his wife and barks, 'WHY DON'T YOU PLEASE SHUT UP??'
The officer looks ov er at the woman and asks, 'Does your husband always talk to you this way, Ma'am?'
'Only when he's been drinking.'

The Big Show / Look at what I found this morning
« on: June 09, 2008, 07:41:41 AM »
I figured out about a month ago that she was bred.  We had sold our male around a year ago.  We didn't think he could get the job done.  We were wrong.  Baby looks just like his daddy.  Thinking about naming him Jake.  His momma is Janet, Daddy and Jerry and "uncle" is Jack.  Jack and Jake may be too close though.  ???

Anyways, just thought I would share  :)

The Big Show / Sick Calf
« on: May 16, 2008, 12:44:28 PM »
Cowboy and others,
I have a calf that has/had navel ill.  We had it bad this year and once we figured out what was going on we have been able to treat all the other calves.  This calf however we can not get over this infection.  We have been fighting it for a month now.  We have poured more penicillin into him then our other calves combined.  His joints are still swelled and he gets up to nurse and lays right back down.  We have them out in a big pasture and it is fairly dry and lots of grass.  We are getting to the point that we are about to just give up.  We had a calf a few years ago that had this same problem and he lived though weaning then just died.

Any suggestions??

The Big Show / Happy Mothers Day (NOT CATTLE RELATED)
« on: May 07, 2008, 12:55:13 PM »
I want to wish all the moms out there happy mothers day!  I know it is a few days early, however, since I can't get you all something I would like to do this..

Nothing makes a mom happier then to brag/talk about their kids!  So I am making it a free for all.  I want to hear about all your kids.

I will start with a story that makes me smile-
Last year was my first mothers day.  My husband got my daughter (then 7mo old) up from her nap and handed her a little box.  When he came walking out with her he told her to hand me the box.   She handed it to me with the biggest happiest proudest grin on her face.  That ment more to me then anything.  But I wear the diamond earrings that were in that box almost every day!  It is one of the few times I have been caught off guard by my husband, but my daugters proud little grin, like she picked them out all herself, made it so special!

How about you guys!

The Big Show / Round Up Rumor
« on: April 25, 2008, 09:48:22 AM »
Don't know if anyone has heard this or not, supposedly the reason roundup is so expensive is because China ,who makes a lot of it , has closed down their plants to give the air time to clean up for the Olympics.  Anyone else hear that??

The Big Show / Hoof Trimmer
« on: April 23, 2008, 02:21:33 PM »
Hey guys,
Does anyone know Allen Zacharias?  He trims our calves hooves but I can not find his #.  He does a GREAT job and I would like to stick with him if he is still trimming.  If not, does anyone have any recomendations in the Ohio area?  We have 2 fair steers needing done.

Thanks All,

Anyone have personalized plates?  Care to share if you do?
