I am a college student taking a pharmaceutical chemistry class. I have to write a term paper about a drug of my choice, I want to write about a livestock pharmaceutical but I'm not sure which one to pick. Any suggestions? Maybe something relatively new, but will have some data surrounding it, maybe something revolutionary or controversial?

My girlfriend was assigned a group project in a communication class. Her group deceded to put together a presentaton addressing the carring of concealed weapons on college campuses. The presentation is posted on youtube and the group needs 500 views to recieve an A for the project. It would be awesome if everyone could check the video out and help them reach their goal. Plus I thought it might lead to some interesting discussion. Thanks!

Archived Classifieds / Chi market heifer - Video link added
« on: September 05, 2010, 05:45:59 PM »
Registered as a Chi and sired by Heat Wave, this heifer is thick enough to compete with the steers and flashy enough to catch eyes in the show ring. She won her class at the 2010 Kentucky State Fair. She was supreme market animal at the Western Rivers Kentucky Junior Livestock Expo and reserve at the East and Western Kentucky  Expos, along with winning several county fairs. She is still ready for the show ring and would be very competive at any fall or winter shows or would be a great addition to any clubby cow herd. If you are looking to produce show steers this is the heifer.

The Big Show / question about new calf
« on: June 26, 2010, 06:45:31 PM »
We just had a bull calf born today. He is out of a shorthorn cow and an angus bull. The cow was A.I'd to a shorthorn but didnt stick and was bred by the clean up bull. I dont really see him being worth much as a shorthorns plus bull, but he has the wrong birthday to be a steer. Is he worth anything in a southern state as a steer? do they show at a different time of year than in kentucky and farther north? What would you all do with him?

The Big Show / Vortec?
« on: April 29, 2010, 08:11:00 PM »
I have a black shorthorn plus that I am considering breeding to vortec. She is half angus and half shorthorn. She has already had one calf and is has plenty of volume so calving ease shouldnt be a big deal, but unless im mistaken vortec is calving ease anyways. Ive also though about Sinister. Ive bred her once to sin city but she didnt stick, I was really wanting a blue roan. But I have Vortec and Sinister in my tank. Any thoughts or suggestions?

The Big Show / Shorthorn bulls
« on: January 29, 2010, 05:05:36 PM »
We have some Shorthorn heifers we are getting ready to breed and have been looking at some different bulls to use. We were recommended TM Gus, The Bartender, and Rock & Roll Train. We have never used any of these bulls and I haven't seen many calves out of them that I'm aware of. Does anybody have any opinions on these bulls? Or if you have any better suggestions of bulls that are out crosses and good for heifers please let me know.
