I bought my Dads tanks and semen inventory and have semen available on these old school Angus bulls. Dates reflect their approximate birth date.

I welcome discussion and memories on these bulls. Many were labeled as hard calving but I would not be scared to use them on my mature Angus cows.
I would welcome pictures of the bulls and any progeny you would share.

I am looking for uses for old semen tanks that no longer hold nitrogen long enough.
Cooler for stalls or barn?
Cut out ranch design silhouette using water jet or plasma cutter?
Trash can?
Drill outer shell and fill with expanding foam for short term nitrogen transfer for branding or other?
Any leads for someone who can cut the design?
Thanks!

I found some Shorthorn semen in my Dad's old tanks.
Any value or use for these bulls?
I'm not a Shorthorn guy, and I respect the vast history and knowledge by many members.

I have two units of semen on an old Angus named Black Ballot F65. He was born in 1962. He is a son of the popular Scottish champion Ballot of Belladrum (shown in picture). A unit of Belladrum sold some time back for $3200.
These are being used to develop super-efficient, moderate, well-muscled cattle.
I am looking for someone interested in sharing some flushes.
Knabe-I have yet to make the contact to sent me, but plan to do so.

I am getting an inventory done on my Dad's semen tanks and am finding some very old Angus semen.
I thought some of these would bring some interesting discussions.
What do you recall or know of these?
Any pictures out there?

I'll post a list later of the show bulls from the 80's and 90's.

Anybody breeding fullblood Limousin cattle?
I found some Eros and Endormi semen and would like to find a fullblood breeder who would have interest in it.

I was approached today by a gentleman selling exclusive cloning rights to the cell line of Heatwave's dam.
I am told she was never cloned.
I thought this might generate interesting discussion.
What is the value of the cell line? Cost to clone? Is she pertinent in today's club calf industry?
I would appreciate it if comments remain positive and informative in nature.
Thank you-

Found some purebred Chianina semen in my dad's old tanks.
Anybody interested in Fonto semen? He was one of the early bulls.
Anybody got pix of him from back in the day?

I found a cane of Covino III ampules among other old semen in my dad's tanks.
Would there be interest if I held a rare semen auction this fall?
One distributor lists it at $300, another at $150.
Thanks

He was one of the earliest imports.
Was he Swiss Simmental or Fleckvieh?

He came from the famous Litton Ranch in Missouri, but I am not familiar with this bull.

I found a cane of Earl Marshall Legend ampules.
He was a great Angus show bull in late 70's as I recall.
Would he work today?
Other comments-
EPD's would probably be very low compared to today, but EPD's mean nothing in a ring.

My father was a rep for Select Sires for over 30 years. I have purchased his farm semen tanks and semen inventory.
I wrote down a few of the semen codes that were most common or easiest to read.
I would appreciate help in identifying some of the bulls. I will be a taking a full inventory and will make semen for sale should there be interest.
Angus. AN codes 287. Nine Iron 288 Tailer Made 301 76. OSU Game Plan 283 Rito 6656 123. Select Cap 65. Shearbrook Extra 422 GAR Prophecy 538 294 Peer Reviewed 230. Iroquois 246 Rito 2. 878 225 Mayer 1098
Simmental. SM 275. Red Bear 7145 271 Spike 224 RV Graduate 282. Highwayman 7056
What is this? M794
Thank you.
I have found most of these to be older genetics and not worth a lot. I know there is still good bulls in there I have not yet found. There are probably 4000 units of all breeds yet to be identified.
I found a cane of Signal, an old Simmental bull. He used to be $1000/ unit I am told.
It will be fun looking through the list when inventory is done.
