Wynona16, the heifer is sound and is plenty flashy IMO, she could go back to something a little more "cowy" I'd think.

Mark, I've talked to Gargan some about RR." I have some in the tank and he's on the list as well".
Hes about as thick and clean made as Id use on a hiefer Pretty fronted and clean under his jaw-Which alot of them are not O0
I agree. RR is a super clean fronted bull for a Simmental. Have any heifers hit the ground from him?

I want more performance and better everything else here:
For an Angus I would look at Yong Dale Excalibur 32X: http://www.bjcattlecompany.com/xcaliber.html
For a simmental LFE The Riddler:https://www.issuu.com/bouchardlivestock/docs/gtmad_cndcataloguecomplete3.1.1/9
Both these bulls are high performance and are not calving ease. How much calving ease do you need?
As for whether the cow is worth keeping why was she late?

So she is the only mature cow I have as the others are heifers so shes in my uncles herd. I think her late Calving was on his bull because he had several that didnt calve until later. Ive never had a problem with Calving on her so since Ill be moving her to my house I can keep an eye on her when the time comes.

I like the bullseye idea. Im a lover for colored Simmental and hes been throwing some red and red baldies lately if thats what youre into. A friend I know used a bunch to better believe it, which I know would cross up with your lineage. Maybe something yard key related would work well? I know they arent necessarily show cattle, but it may be enough to pul it out of her. Not sure on heifer soundness on him though.

So I have a cow which is registered but she calved late this year. I know nothing of older angus genetics, and need help knowing if shes worth keeping to AI to something later. Ive never AId her so Im really wanting to. Her sire is CRA BEXTOR 872 5205 608. He goes back to B A R EXT TRAVELER 205 on top and N BAR EMULATION EXT on far top. The dam she is out of is CV 616 LADY SARA 61D out of RITO 616 OF 4B20 6807 on top and cow of RITA 0Q3 OF 6R2 RITO 505.
She has some Ambush, Bando, D H D TRAVELLER 6807 on her dams side. Is she worth keeping for another year to AI? Also, does anyone have any pictures of offspring out of these parents? What are your opinions on good sires to use on her? Personally Im a Simmental fan, but Id be willing to go full Angus.

The WC 1143Y bull sounds pretty nice. Would he throw any red or is he pretty strict black chrome?

Is he throwing any red calves? Doesn't seem like it, but I've been looking for something out crossed from what I've got and he's impressing me. If he's bred on a red cow do you think the black will dominate?

Thank you all for the advice. I know she's nothing real special but I am hoping to get something good. Maybe at least another heifer.

The Big Show / Need low Birthweight/Calving Ease Bull for Simi heifer
« on: December 05, 2016, 09:29:54 AM »
I bought a red simi heifer this year and need a bull I can breed her to so she doesn't break down. I was hoping to get a nice calf with some facial markings but that might be a second time deal. Shes out of a macho cow and the bull is lucky a simi. If you can help I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks for the help I think she would have to be percentage because the bull died and I don't think I can get DNA on him.
