Here is how we do it at our place.  We give 7 day heats stage 4's, 7.5 day heats Stage 5's, and 8 day heats stage 6's.  We try and pick a time in the middle of the heats when we can get the most recips to fit the above protocall.  If they do not fit then we have the vet come back.  We have increased our conception 10-15% using this.

As long as the semen was stored properly you will have no problem.  Semen should thoereticly last forever along as it is properly stored in liquid nitrogen.

I love the Benz calves and we have had no trouble calving him,  I also think the Gucci calves are looking good and come pretty small but probaly do come a little harder than the Benz calves had to pull one but it was out of a heat seeker heifer.  Have tried Money man and Gigiloe joe and they are difinetly calving ease but I think with Benz and Gucci you get calving ease and a little bit more marketable calves.At least around our place.  I am really interested in the I-80 bull, probaly try some this year.  I believe his dam is out of Benz's mom.  So if I'm thinking right that would make him a 3/4 sib.
