Come get her for 1800!!!

We are offering my brothers simmental heifer for sale. She is a January 2010 female out of R and R Warehouse and KSSR Black Satin. This female is super thick, moderate, and deep. She has the typical simmental leather, but with a little time with a sweat collar that can improve.  She has been shown at FT. Worth, Houston, and at many jackpot shows. She is well taken care of, but with football season around the corner, instead of being able to give her the total needs of a show heifer we are offering her for 2,000 to someone who wants a nice show heifer. This is her mother and sisters...http://www.knezeksimmentalranch.com/Donor-Pages/KSSR-Black-Satin.html This is a very universal female that will work great for the purebred or the clubby breeder. Feel free to email me @ mstangsfb13@yahoo.com or text or call 832-250-0742 for pictures and more info!!

Sorry guys she is sold!

Cattle For Sale / V8 Shorthorn heifer for sale! Need her gone ASAP!
« on: June 29, 2011, 11:48:45 PM »
Hey folks,

Due to unfortunate events a close friend of mine is having to sell her V8 shorty. MISS V8 Crimson Tide ET is a January '10 heifer out of CF Trump X and  the CSF Miss Texas donor at V8 ranch in Texas. She has cycled through a few times, and is ready to breed to your choice of bull. She has decent hair for being in south east texas, and it is easily worked. She is a little behind in her condition and feed, but with a good feeding program she will be back in the game in a few months in time for the majors. This roan heifer has a great front end, and is as sound as a cat, she just needs a good family, and feeding program, or a great breeding oporation  to get in with. Her genetics alone are worth including this female in your string or program, her physical attributes are a bonus.. They want her set at 2,250, but are plenty flexible on the price as she needs to go ASAP! We are located just south of Houston, TX in Friendswood! Pictures will be uploaded here soon! To get more infomation and pictures please send me a text, or call and leave a message, 832-250-0742. Thanks!!

The Big Show / Re: Hoof Trimming Jim Gupton

Gupton only trimmed one of mine i guess you could technically say two the first and last. I was very disappointed with his attitude and ethics towards my cattle this was several years ago but i know gupton is gettting up in age. Matt Leopold is the only person i will ever recommend or use for trimming my or my customers hooves. He is around the taylor area in central texas but will travel, my dad and I  always put a group of calves together and matt would come to us! I believe he is still at $30 maybe
$40 but last i talked to him it was $30. Great guy and great service his number is 512-595-1261. Tell him Kevin Doonan sent you and your sure to get a good deal  (thumbsup) just kidding but seriously he is the best hoof guy I know of or have been around.
I second the Matt leopold motion!! He is a great guy! He helped correct a heifer that was having some foot issues when she walked on concrete. Over two trips the problem was solved, and she walked like a dream!

My thoughts exactly. She was not a small calf by any means. And she was about as flat as a bowling ball...
I heard that although" very nice", the heifer was small, flat made and very base narrow.

Hard to be very nice and at the same time "small, flat made, and very base narrow".  I seriously doubt Sargent would bother to drag a bad one.  You probably heard from someone that was jealous.

Teri Barber can judge cattle.

The Big Show / Re: Any Body Feeding Purina Precon with Fitter Edge??
« on: January 13, 2011, 12:08:26 PM »
I have heard some are feeding precon with fitters edge and was wondering how much of each to feed. If you would like to post or send a pm that would be great! Thanks
I really like this combo for getting calves going, they eat the precon like candy, we just fed a 3-1 mix of fitters edge to precon until they started to get up and go.

She likes them stout from what I've seen from her, just to add on.  We are bringing a super stout heavy bred simmy heifer out there this year, so I hope things go our way.

The Big Show / Re: The craziest thing you have seen at a cattle show

This past October i seen this 15 year oldish boy at KILE fitting his hefier. Well you know IPODS are everywhere and music makes work go by a lot easier. Well this boy was getting down singing loudly to an Eminim song...even using an adhesive can as a mike. Everyone going around the corner where his chute was was cracking up and some people even went to go get their friends for the show. His poor heifer look fustrated guess this is a common thing while fitting for her. Well the poor kid finally looked up and turned 6 shades of red and got quite and finished up. Well later the kid didnt do soo well and these kids he was hanging out said"Just Loose it"  which was the Eminim song he was singing earlier. ;D

This reminds me, you stop clipping and fitting with head phones in when you cut the cords off of yours, and your moms headphones in a two day period. ;D Although running the cord through your jacket or shirt does seem to help.
