The Big Show / Going rate for synchronizing and ai'ing
« on: April 30, 2012, 09:33:07 AM »
I have been ai'ing my cattle for a few years.  I have someone local to my area to synchronize and ai some heifers for them.  I only have to travel a few miles.  What is the going rate for my time?  Thanks!

Price, Location, and some more info about your heifer, Please?  Nice looking by the way!

Do you still have any who made who embryos or the heifer pregnancy?

When AIing with sexed heifer semen what size straw is recommend, 2ml or 5ml and how many should I use?  I am not flushing I am wanting to just AI using sexed heifer semen.  Thanks!

I'm interested in this heifer!  Do you have any video of her?  When was she born, what is she weighing?  Do you have any pics of her mama?  I also seen you have other heifers listed, can you send me your price sheet with any pics and videos?  I'm looking for maternally bred heifers with some simmi influence.  Thanks!  windyridgeacres.kj@gmail.com

I really like the pro charge(there version of revive) and some pro gloss or something like that.  It really puts a good shine on them before going into the show ring.  There is a previous thread that talks a lot about the products.

Could you send me price of WMW heifer pregs?  Also a location of pregnancy's and some more info on cow.  Thanks!

She is deep and has some muscle and thickness in her top.  She is not heavy boned is really the only negative I have.  She is a pure breeding heifer and has had that cow look to her since she was born.  Maybe I will try and get a picture of her and post.  Thanks for the info.  Does anybody know what his sexed heifer semen goes for?

I was curious about what everyone's experience was with the simmental bull Dream Catcher.  I have a Simple Math/Friction heifer that is really cowy.  I was thinking of looking into the sexed heifer semen from him.  She is a bit smaller framed but is deep bodied with a lot of rib and shape to her.  She has done really good showing for us this year maybe the only thing I would like to change on her is give her a bit more leg bone.  I am just a few years in to starting a small club calf herd so any other suggestions are welcome.  I think this heifer has the potential to make a really good cow so with most easy calving bulls not typically throwing over powering calves I was thinking of breeding for a heifer.

The Big Show / Re: Copyright Bull

I had a copyright bull calf this past winter out of a really stout sunseeker/strictly business heifer.  He weighed 68lbs. and was 18 days early (no exposure to a bull).  I sold him for a clean up bull.  He was thick and had a lot of middle to him.  Not the heaviest boned and had that anugus head.  A nice calf just not in the prettiest package.

WOW!  That really brings it all to heart.  We too just got done with our county fair and it had many ups and downs.  I try to tell myself and everyone that it is just one persons opinion on one day and to remind them that we are here for the kids but that just touches my heart and brings a whole new outlook too it.  Be proud of the calf you raised and when you do win with her it will mean that much more to you cause you will know that you did it with your own hard work and not paying a kings ransom for it.  God Bless  and good luck!

I had a bull calf out of a sunseeker/strictly business heifer this year and he was thick and extremely deep sided.  Not the most eye appealing.  Not a lot of hair and nor heavy boned but sold him as a clean up bull.  His moma showed really well for us so would have been interesting to see him if we could of got some hair on him.  He came 18 days early and weighed 65lbs.
