When you say extremely tight supply does that mean you have 4000 straws left of the 5000?

i think the rash/oates/gey heifer is definatly simmental and is amazingly good!

now the simbrah they had in sanantinio a few years ago that had the papers pulled, was NOT a simbrah, it was a maine but thats a different topic and they were punished accordingly

Show stopper 95 I think you should clarify in your post that Chad Oates and The Geye family were not involved with a Simbrah heifer at San Antonio. Your quote is more slanderous than the original topic of this tread.

The Simmental heifer is legit. Emory has already won every Major in the Junior Angus deal. Better get used to getting beat by them in any breed cause he has 3 years left and little sis has 7.

I have had 10 calves out of him with no big birth weights. But I would use his 1/2 brother Mercedes on heifers. I have used him on heifers with no problems and the calves are very similar to Thriller calves. Just a guess but I think the Mercedes daughters will make better cows because of the Dr. Who influence.

This was a surprise. These people live 20 miles from me. Jerry used to drive around with a mule in the bed of his pickup.......... the kind with hooves not wheels. ;D

If it has been shredded it is my experience that you can not roll it out. When you take the wrap off it just falls apart there are not any long pieces to hold it together.

I think the timing of ovulation in relation to actual breeding or A-I  and the speed and stamina of the semen have to do with it alot. Someone who knows for sure should explain it for us. I am just guessing but think  that female sperm and male sperm are alot different as far as speed and life span are concerned. A cow that releases her egg early is more likely to have a bull than a cow who releases here egg later ?????

The Big Show / Re: Newborn Thriller calf out of Wyoming Wind Cow!

I would breed her to the original, I have seen him in the flesh and I honestly think he would work great with her judging from her pic. I think u can still get Monopoly semen for $50 bucks if u buy 10 straws of their other bulls, I bought some that way a couple months back. When u get a chance take an updated pic of ur Thriller. I have a 5 month old Thriller Heifer that is the best I have ever raised. She is a Thriller x Allstar x Traveler 71 maternal, maternal, maternal in a super powerful clubby package.

The Big Show / Re: Sure Champ VS. SHow Bloom

Sorry they are Performance Supplements.

Calf Manna -12.5 lbs of protein per 50 lb bag
Sure Champ - 12.5 lbs of protein per 50 lb bag    --------------               Not alot of difference
Show Bloom- 15 lbs protein per 50 lb bag

Calf Manna uses Brewers Yeast, a Fungi for Digestion utilization
Sure Champ uses Aspergillus Oryzae, a Fungi for Digestion utilization     --------------               This is the main difference
Show Bloom uses Brewers Yeast, a fungi for Digestion utilization

Calf Manna and Show Bloom are even more similar than Sure Champ. Show bloom probably borrowed their ingredients list from Calf Manna

I have had Anchor, Doctor and Eureka , I even had a few Edisons (Big Butt Eddie) daughters in my reg. herd. Really good cows that flesh easy and had good bags. They always bred and calved easy but I eventually phased them out because they would throw some small framed ones every so often and the cattle buyers would hammer em.
