Do you remember Snappy (Low Birth Weight Shorthorn Bull)
« on: March 15, 2013, 01:57:37 PM »
His birthweight of 72 lbs. will allow you to use him on heifers.. His full sister was the Res. Champion heifer at both the Oklahoma Spring Fair and the American Royal Junior Shorthorn show, Champion at the Colorado State Fair.He is great haired, extra thick, and a snappy style. He is also very fertile, producing semen before a year of age. His dam is out the the great KaBa Keystone and Dividend.  His sire is Cowboy,  cowboy was maine X len ru ta leader daughter.  Keystone was out of Len Ru Leader.

We only had one calf crop from him which sired the Res. Champion at the New Mexico State Fair.

Well we have just over 100 units of this bull in our tank.  If you are interested in using snappy for heifers, give us a call.
Snappy is pictured as well as his full sister.

Snappy sister in turn produce Cattle Visions BK Casper.       http://www.cattlevisions.com/Shorthorn/BK%20CASPER.php

Their sire Cowboy sired the Champion shorthorn and RES GRAND Overall at the San Antonio Livestock show and a Champion at the Ohio State Fair.

Their maternal grand dam produced the Champion Shorthorn at the Fort Worth stock Show.

I am not necessarily trying to promote him but have had several producers here lately ask about semen availability.

What do you think about those epds, Mark?/// I think hes the real thing-I got to use a KABA Leader son of a full sister to KABA Rose (Brookwood Matrix) and he calved like that-but was a pretty small framed bull-Id say Snappy as I remember him would be very similar-and from very similar breeding-NOT ALL THE KABA DEALS WERE COW KILLERS O0

I called sek today to just see if there was any snappy in their tank for I had told them to destroy that semen several years ago.  I got plum excited when they said they had some semen left.  I am not one to take a step backward in years to find genetics but I cant see anything I want on the market today.  Maybe I can develop that shorthorn that can produce winners like I did years ago.  I am excited.

There is 105 units.  I will sell 50 units right now at $30 per unit.  I have sold 15 so that leaves 35.  Give me a call if you want some.

I do have the semen at my house near Chickasha.  If there is anyone interested in a cool looking actual light birthweight Shorthorn bull give us a call.  We have sold 20 units.  30 still available.

We still want 5 units Carl. I'll make it down there with a tank in the next couple months!
