True, though u dont want to beat it especially in showmanship, but here is my trick, walk your pig or pigs daily, and get ur pig to know you. <cowboy>

I agree not in showmanship but I am a firm believer that it starts at home.......but I have seen a lot of young showmen that are scared to hit the hog because they do not want to hurt them. They got tough skin and are hard headed gotta do it at home then when you get to the show everything will be ok

starts at home. you must be aggressive with the stick when there young and to keep there head up pop them with whip or stick under neath the chin everytime when they put there head down. Pigs are smart enough they will learn and will obey.

Im not aggressive but there are some pigs that are harder to get to do this than others and sometimes you got to hit them a lil harder.............I find that whips work alot better than a pipe or stick!! It just takes time to train them but yes pigs are smart and they will eventually learn. Most of them
