Hello:) we are new to the club pig scene, it's the younger nephews first go at it and I was hoping the pros on the Pig Chat side of SP could help me out...who has a kickin plan for making one of the PVC waterers. Running water, I know is better but not possible where our pigs are housed so scolding me on that won't help...but I could use some got advice on how to make one of these. Thanks in advance:)
And the reason I need this rather than a pan...one of the pigs (our gilts are together nose to nose but seperated in the pen) anyways-one of them does fine with the pan system-and the other well...she works on dumping it the minute you put water in it so that isn't going to get it so my solution until the running water gets put in the new barn is this PVC waterer...so thanks in advance for your help!!

you need to get a pvc pipe and cut it about four feet , and then get a cap for it.  Then drill a hole in the cap that fits a water nipple that you can get at your nearest farm store.

Ditto - these things are really easy to make - the caps are pretty expensive for PVC though

Your welcome. Here is some advice:  As your pigs get older (if you show them at fairs ) raise the water. :)

Ditto the plan except drill the hole in the pipe about 18" up because there is no easy way to keep the thing hanging.  This way, you can let it sit on the ground and all the dirt & stuff will settle to the bottom and not plug the nipple.
