So the like and dislike button will be used like in high school when the popular crowd goes through the halls? Cool. Like that idea!
And instead of allowing "blocks" of post, what about just ignoring them? Is there something somewhere that says you have to read and respond to every post? Just saying!!

That was, by no means, the intention of the suggestion-- it was simply a way for others to show 'support' (for lack of a better term) of a comment, thought, or even ad in the classifieds.  Take it for what it's worth.

You know really respect of PPL's feelings and some common sense along with a dose of courtesy would go a long way to making things easy. If you wouldn't say something to someone in person, you may want to think about not posting up.
There are many threads that I choose to not participate in. I doesn't bother me one bit to skip over certain posts. If something is said that I don't agree with, I take a step back and ask if it is worth opening up a can of worms about? Most times it probably isn't worth it. I think that we can be a little sensitive about certain topics also.

Jason, would it be possible to list what college football team you follow on the profile? This would be very usefull when deciding who to use the ignore button on. LOL

I hate to have to ignore all you huskers up north from me.

But it will save the time of everyone else who replies to a thread they start.  Nothing is more annoying than the original poster abandoning a thread because it doesn't go according to their plans.

I think I will be able to get most of these working on the move over.  It should be in the next week, will have to bring steerplanet down for a couple hours.  I will do it at night to keep the downtime as minimal as possible, but it might take a bit for the dns to propagate across the web and direct you to the correct host.

Hey Jason,
If there was a way to add a spell check button like many email and word processing programs that would also get rid of some of the snarky replies that people post simply "aboot  mizpilled wurds".....

location under name!

That can be done and it is a good idea.  However it will only display if you fill out the info in your profile.

you cant make it manditory????  like all those other forms you fill out that have a little red star beside them...that line HAS to be filled out...
