Now you have me excited. I used 40 shots last spring and waiting for them to get here. Should have some any day now. We used him on every kind we have.

Burwell made his first appearance as a display bull at the National Western Stock Show 2 years ago.  He is sired by Summit and out of a Wizard/OCC Legend cow. He is TH&PHA free and weighed 75lbs at birth. He’s got the look and the genetics people want.
Semen is available through Cattle Visions and Hoffman A.I. or Stapley Ranch. Follow us on Facebook to see updates on him as well as his calves.

Labatomy please let us know how CE is with the bull. They look good very good but also very thick. I'd appreciate knowing how they come. I have a little SAK Burwell in the tank. Thanks in advance. Cab

I will know within the hour how the first one is. Have one on the way as I write this. I've honestly never been as excited to see a set in a long while. I studied that bull hard in Denver. He's my kind. I also hold Grant in the highest regards as a great cattle breeder. Can't wait.
P.S. I had to leave the calving pen to give her a chance otherwise I'd be bugging her.
To be continued........

I went back 45 minutes after I saw her lay down and start pushing. Calf was up and trying to nurse when I got back. Lots of vigor and made right, 74 lbs BW.  Really pleased with our 1st Burrell Heifer calf. I'll get a pic in a day or two. blaze faced calf out of a Momentum/Angus 4 yr old.

Nice consistence birth weights. If you don't mind saying, what part of the country do you call home?

Thanks, I saw that last night by going to your personal info. I was curious b/c BWs are normally larger in the northern plains. I have had a few abnormally large calves this year.

I will check with them and see if they have more calf photos to share. The heifer calf photo I shared is one of their calves. I saw her at their place last weekend and imo looks much better than in the photo. She is really nice.
