I received a phone call this morning from the Houston Police Department @ 3:32 am. The officer informed me that I had 7-9 cows out on the street about 1/4 mile away from the barn. Before I could get there a group of officer had already moved the cattle back into the pasture. All of the show heifers and steers were fine and accounted for. But the thieves did steal a brand new Featherlite model 8117 20' aluminum gooseneck stock trailer along with feed, tack, shavings, and 9 bags of feed. Although I am very thankful none of the projects were harmed and the trailer is replaceable, It was taken from the kids. Our program grew over the summer to the point that the one school provided trailer would be a logistic nightmare trying to get animals to and from shows. Therefore I purchased the trailer that has been stolen a month ago, so its still shiny new. If anyone sees or hears about this trailer please contact me. We have twelve heifers and steers going to the Washington County Fair, Brenham, Texas this Friday and would like to locate it (if it hasn't been cut up for scrap yet).

Thanks,

John Armstrong

i have a featherlite trailer.  even though it's no my property, i have two locks on it, one for the sleeve and one for the housing or whatever it's called.  it's too dang easy for someone knowing what they are doing to take it in about a minute.

So sorry to hear!  I'm sure if you call up some local farmers and the other members who have their own equipment, you can get a trailer to get them all there!  Find that thing!  Craigslist is a good one!

Hope you find the trailer, in one piece. Remember the people that stole the trailer will have to answer to a higher power, then you or I. Best of luck at the show.
