We announced in March that our beef registry turned 5 years old.  Now our dairy registry is turning 5 years old as well.

The Composite Dairy Cattle Registry is celebrating 5 years of service to owners and breeders of “non-traditional” dairy breeds in North America (USA and Canada), the UK and other countries.

Breeds represented in the registry are Milking Fleckvieh, Montbeliarde, ProCross, Viking Red’s, Norwegian Reds, the still developing North American Red along with other crosses and with our open herdbook the traditional dairy breeds.

In celebration of our 5-year anniversary we are offering very special pricing during August 1st thru the 31st, 2018.  Registrations for animals of any age can be registered for $5 USD each.  We are extending this special pricing to those interested in our beef registry too!

Membership in the Composite Dairy Cattle Registry is $10 USD for Juniors and $25 USD for Individuals, Partnerships/Syndicates and Corporations.

Visit our website www.dairycattleregistry.com for membership and registration applications.  Or visit our beef cattle registry www.compositebeef.com

The evaluations for dairy cattle were released on Tuesday, August 7.  The still growing and developing North American Red  dairy cattle had an outstanding evaluation.  On the Elite list of cows, we had 73 of the top 100 cows of which the top 59 were all registered North American Red.  The Elite Heifer List had 4 of the top 10, 7 of the top 25 and 10 heifers to make the list altogether.  On the heifer list we also had the top heifer which was well above a heifer from Sweden.  the number one heifer completes 3 generation of females to make the Elite list.  We also had another heifer to make the list that completes 4 generations of females to make the lists.

On the bulls we did well too with 3 bulls from one of our members in the UK in the top 50 Net Merit $ available bulls. Two of the bulls are still the #1 and #2 genomic polled bulls and the other bulls is one of the highest type Sires in the top 50.
