I was really wanting to learn to A.I. our own cows this summer. I was looking into this class at Agtech/ABS http://www.agtechinc.com/aischool/index.php Any recommendations or suggestions? I live in central Indiana, so a good class closer to home would be nice. I thought the class on June 20-21 would be good because we will be syncing our cows to breed June 24-26. The best was to get the feel for A.I. would be to take the class and learn it then come home and breed a bunch of our own cows.

I would contact your local sales rep for several of the semen distributors, they should be able to tell you if there is one closer to you, people from your area should be able to comment on here who that would be

I had the local Genex rep come to the farm and teach me.  One on one instruction, you get to experiment on your own cows, and there is no time limit on how long you go.  I liked it a lot and it was only one day and I didn't have to travel!

Terry Muir in Waynesfield, Ohio.  Not that far from you and has an excellent school. I went a couple years ago, 2 days on a weekend and was in about 20 different cows. More hands on than a regular school. we had 3 people in my class.  Highly recommended!
