I do not believe that CUP labs are capable of doing the ultra sound for tenderness.  If you want to do the tenderness ultra sound I would call Clay Nash.  Tenderness is not the only thing he does, he does all the usual too but he also includes tenderness.  Kit Pharo has been using this for many years.

Prolly a dozen bulls in this sale that I like better than either of these.  The Red Bulls rear third is oddly disproportionate to the rest of his body.   The lot 4 Red Bull on the other hand is very good.

I think there are a lot of useful bulls, Lot 4 is a pretty neat package.

There is a really good selection of bulls. This guy is I think one of the best ever raised here. I don't select on EPD's but they are another tool in the tool box. He has some EPD's in the top 1% of the breed but actual weights and scan data to back them up. He had a heavier birth weight than some like but he was born while we were at the sale last year and up running around when we got home. I personally would question the value of a mature
that couldn't pop a calf his size out but that's a whole long thread....   ;D
He has 50K genomically enhanced EPD's. Free by pedigree of DS,TH, PHA and myostatin variants. He has BW, WW and YW's and a back scan contributing to his outstanding EPD's. Top 1% of the breed for WW, YW, REA and $F, Top 2% $BMI, marbling, ST, top 5% YG, Top 10% TM, CEM, Top 15% CW. Sired by an ET son of The Grove Kookaburra W735 and Diamond Whitney Maid 14W and out of an ET daughter of Crooked Post Grissom 24T and Kenlene Secret Maid 6T(bred by the late Phil Butterfield) 100% both Canadian and American herd books.

I like all three or four of the Favs for different reasons-I think the freaky one would be useful and could change a good structured cow Given the genetics hes the most difficult to replicate as anything ive seen out of the great North Ex Bar chose (from the three or four) by far the most attractive balanced performing bull-He would be a good one to use on(older) daughters of the Freaky Red One-The one Bell M has  that won the Farm Fair ( knee jerk take)   is the closest combination of sorts of what i like in the previous two Okotoks  bull falls right there with the performance bulls in a neater package-looks good  for females Overall-its a real good bunch of bulls-and wed be hard pressed to have 3 breeders produce AND SELL a group like that IN ONE SHOT down here.JMO O0
