Hey y'all. I have kinda a stupid question. so i see a lot of guys they are clipping with their dominant hand and their non dominate hand is holding the scotch comb. But more and more am i seeing that while they are clipping they put the hand that is holding the comb behind their back. So in other words the hand that is not holding the clipper is behind their back while they are clipping with the other hand. I know this is worded weirdly and kinda an odd question. but just curious about it.
Thanks!

I think it is just what is comfortable for you, not a technique.  I used to hold the scotch comb between my legs and put one finger of that hand on the side of the head to steady it. That just became a habit and was kind of unconscious.

Where that habit came from for me was the hand behind my back was holding the clipper cord.

Lots of reasons why.

Cord can't brush against the calf and scare him.
If someone else trips over my cord, I don't end up gouging the calf.
I don't hit the end of my cord and gouge one.
The cord doesn't get tangled up in me or anything else.

So, when I clip with cordless clippers, I still have my hand behind my back out of habit or If I have the right setup and drape the cord over my shoulders I still end up with my hand behind my back.
