I need to know how soon after a heifer aborts, can I attempt to synchronize.  All of my yearling heifers had been cycling pretty steady, all winter.  Last week, I heat detected, and AI ed those that cycled.  I gave a shot of Lutalyse to those that I hadn't seen, that week.  One of them aborted a fetus.  Looking back to the calendar, the herd bull had walked over the guardrail after a blizzard and was in with the heifers part of 1 day.  He was there long enough, obviously.  ;)

The fetus would have been about 50 days.  She was riding everything insight, and appears to have cleaned out well.  How quick can I re breed, 21 days? I would really like to AI her, rather than have a crossbred calf out of the clean up bull.  Our herdsire is her sire, so can't go that route either.

Thanks

Harley
