Wait 7 to 10 days then give her 5cc of lutalyse im.  If she had a cl she will come in heat in 3 to 7 days and you can bred her on that heat.  Shouldn't mess her up at all.

Shouldn't mess her up but depending on how wrong the bull was I would wait 21 days and see if she is bred.....in my opinion the "wrong" calf would be better than no calf.

i agree with most comments here.  it all has to do with the time you have on hand.  my vet has routinely told me the Lut is essentially ineffective for less than 10 days, so to wait atleast 10-12 days so that time and drugs are not wasted.  the thing is if you give her a shot of lut at 10 days to kick out an unwanted pregnancy, then my paranoia/gut instict would tell me to wait one full cycle to rebreed her (i.e. wait 10 days -> lut -> she aborts-> she cleans-> she recycles -> wait a full cycle -> then rebreed her. may cost you on the order of 40 or more days.

If she was bred Tuesday night could I give her 5cc of lutalyse on Thursday night? Is that window to small?

Possum is right. 10 days works. Breed her on the resulting heat. 2 days is too soon. She needs time to develop a CL.

Bred a shorty hfr 2 weeks ago today to wrong bull. Luted her monday and she came into heat today. Going to breed her tonight! Sucks when it happens but that's life! You should be fine.

If I give a cow a shot of lutalyse and she comes in heat but the cow is always cystic. If I give her a shot of cysterillion when I AI her will that take care of the cyst or do I need to use a cidr?
