I have never used him, but a friend suggested Choppin Wood to me for my shorthorns. Just a thought. Somebody on here might have more info on him though.

This is my opinion and you don't have to listern to it. You only posted one calf out of her.... Think about what you sold that calf for. My opinion is you probably didnt get more than $2500 for it. She looks to be a younger cow. If I were you, I would A.I her to outcross bulls. If you hit a home run than flush her to him. You have a few years of trial and error. But to me, If she has only thrown One calf worth something she isnt flush quality yet. I would take the money your going to spend on flushing her, and Buy eggs out of proven cows. Go to the Donors Unlimited sale, the frozen gold sale etc. Granted you still arent guarneteed a barn burner but the odds are more in your favor this way. A lot of Mimms cows are throwing 5k-50k cattle. So I would say buy eggs from a proven donor that is usually consistent compared to a cow that has thrown one good one, and A.I her to those outcross bulls to you find the one that clicks. JMO, like I said you dont have to listen

The market is flooded with too many bulls going back to the same genetics.

until lautner starts selling something different, the market isn't flooded.

hard core isn't really different.

I asked Raymond Gonnet from Trausch Farms and he said their Jawbreaker bull would work well on her.  What do yall think?  What kind of calves does he throw.  I know he is till young yet but there must be some calves out there by him.  If anyone has any pics of calves i would appreciate them.  Thanks.

He looks like he would complement the cow you posted. Smaller framed and very deep sided and lots of spring of rib. The only thing is him being by Eye Candy takes him back to Heatwave.  Not much new in the pedigree.
