What is the stalling like in the barns for Agribition? I've seen a few people who bring chains or cables and bring them to tie higher to. Do I need to be bringing corral panels or something with like we do for NWSS so you can tie with heads up?

Best to bring panels to tie heads up with. Be prepared to be tight on space as they sure don't give you the stall space like Denver.

Some people will also bring panels to put around there cattle in tie-outs. Seems like every year there is a bull or two get loose and a heifer calf gets bred.

I use a cable with rings clamped onto it. It is pulled tight and has turn buckles on each end so it can be kept very tight to keep it from sagging. It works v well. A chain also works well.

Good to know. What's the average space/animal? We've got 6 head - 3 calves, 2 breds, and a big bull. Just figuring how long of a chain or cable I'm going to need.

What other stuff am I forgetting that could make my life easier?

I know it doesn't have anything to do with your cattle, but make sure you have called your cell phone company and get a Canadian plan on it. If you have a smartphone the data charges can really add up, plus texting and roaming charges aren't cheap either.

Already got the call plan taken care of. Found out the hard way that the Blackberry data plan is apparently "international data roaming" in Canada. Good excuse to turn my phone off so I'm not answering emails from the office the whole time.

if you are planning on using a debit card from a checking account...tell your bank.  Some will only let a couple of transactions occur out of your "normal" area.
