I have ~55 cows to synchronize 45-90 days post partum. I want a low cost regimen. I was thinking about Select Synch, and I'm wondering what anyone else has experience with or recommends.

Thanks!

This is one of those questions that you could many different answers to and I would say that you may want to pick your favorite semen sire directory and find all the different AI protocols in the back then go through and pick the ones that may fit what you want to do then get together with a supplier and figure up the costs associated with each, pick the best one for you and implement it to the best of your abilities. Good luck, Brent

I would think that select synch would work well if you have cows in good bcs and can check heats.  The other protocol I would consider is co-synch CIDR.

It might depend on how much time you want to spend heat detecting.  If you don't mind spending the time the Select Synch would certainly narrow up the time needed.  If you don't really want to heat detect at all and use a fixed time AI approach you'd probably want to go with a Co-synch + CIDR.  Costs more but it seems to be more accurate in my experience.
