Looking to produce a killer steer or the next best thing since sliced bread promo bull.  O0

Plenty maternal, completely clean pedigree.

1/2 Galloway 1/2 Angus birthweight won't be an issue.  Cows has plenty almost too much flex.

looks like I need to invest in some walks alone semen for my self. On another note, do you have a lot of galloways? Don't see alot of them where I am but they seem to be good cattle, I like the pics of the ones i have seen on here.

I have a simmy cow that is very similar in traits (at least phenotypically) to her and got an awesome steer out of Monopoly Money.  He sure did pack on the pounds quick, but was moderate, big middled, bone galore, and awesome hair.  One thing to note is like yours my cow has some front to her, and he really cleaned that up.

Why not go back to the source? HEAT WAVE!

Clones?  Maybe.    Original?  I just can't justify the price and chances of wasting a straw on a missed A.I.  I guess I'd save that stuff for a flush effort, when the upside is the potential for multiple eggs.

Maybe I'm just cheap and cowardly  ;D

What, $100?  When you buy semen and then breeding certificates, in some breeds you pay that or more.  And why breed to a son, or a son of a son?  He's the one who started it all.  And he's still doing it.

Because he isn't nearly as consistent as monopoly and cost about 250 bucks. If you want heat wave just use heat wave clone. Heat wave is slowly riding off into the sunset due to his sons being more consistent. However, I still use him on some females (clapping)

I like your style  (thumbsup)

3rd this motion. walks alone will throw a powerhouse, just mey be to little. IMHO. Im a big walks alone fan though.

The other plus is that Heat Wave's heifers, when bred to commercial, crossbreed or other registered breeds will be high enough % Chianina to be eligible for Jr. Nationals, Louisville, Fort Worth, etc.  The calves from sons, or sons of sons are not.  And if there are no commercial or market heifer classes in your area it limits what you can do with those heifers. Not all your calves are going to be bulls (steers).  I just like the option better.

Harley for what it costs you, my vote on your cow would be Man Amongst Boys. I think he would match up nicely with her. If you go the WA direction, I personally like BIM better than WA. More balanced and smoother jointed & better topped calves than WA IMO. You know also looking @ your cow, HW may be just the ticket. She is the kind that may hit a homerun with HW, or HW clone.

Harley, I don't know of anyone more of a walks alone fan than me, been using him since he was first promoted. But I think the calf will be too short, I use him on my tall Maine cows. I think your best shot for a home run is a heat wave clone.

Will Walks Alone, BIM, or HW have any "POWER" ?????  (pop)

I'd go w/ a HW clone or BIM.
