Now there is a loaded question!

I would recommend TC Freedom or Northern Improvement. So far, both of them have avoided all the defects showing up in the angus breed. Plus they will throw calves with hair, style and bone, although no freaky like clubbie bulls.  A few others will also do the job, but they have defects.

So my choice, TC Freedom or Northern Improvement!

This one will.  He is our bull.  OCC Eureka X Full Sister to OCC Freestyle.  He is as good as he looks.  He's very low BW and got a front end design unlike any other bull with his kind of power.  I've looked at a lot of bulls and he's the best one I've found.  This picture was taken at 6 years on cows.  As far as mainstream bulls go, BC Marathon, Just Right,  Antidote may work.  We have alot of Northern Improvement cows in production and I like them but they don't have the moderation and body they need.  I don't like any TC Freedom cattle I've seen personally.

I really like your bull and his pedigree.  Whats his reg.# and are you selling any semen?    Another bull to look at is Trendsetter Travelin Tank, he is an 044 son out of a  AAR New Trend cow (defect Free)    also BC Lookout has really got some good calves on the ground.

We were extremely impressed with the duff bull "Outer Limits". We dont have a single throw away. The heifers arre deep sided and nice fronted perfect cows. The bull calves have above average thickness for and angus and good fronts witha  deep body with good style. All calves born on there own. We bredd all of our registered cows to him this year

I would recomend BC Marathon. We have had great success with him bulls and heifers are equally good. BC Lookout has some nice calves, but from my experience he doesn't "power" them up as much but makes them really smooth and they just look like awesome breeding cattle.
Someone else mentioned Antidote I got to work on him for two years and he is an impressive individual. I havn't used him myself for some reason, but I know they have sold some high dollar cattle out of him.

One of the best power Angus bulls is Young Dale Monarch 12E.  This bull has what it takes to increase growth, muscle, bone and frame.  His cow was a fixture in the Young dale program.  He has a high BW EPD but if you use maineX bulls this shouldn't be an issue on cows.

I second the vote for Duff New Edition  , have kept a couple sons we raised to add muscle an capacity .  I also really like the BC Lookout 7024 bull , especially the females.    Sire will produce different on different herd of cow's though, breeding an size of cows make quite a difference in the offspring... THE SIRE  Bando 1961 also puts some volume in his offspring.

I am in charge of a purebred angus operation. I would like to take a couple of cows and AI them to clubby bulls, but Right now the main focus is on the Reg. operation! Thank you guys so much for the names of these bulls!

What do you guys know about OCC hunter, OCC Legend, MCC Cupid, DCC Baseline 511, and DCC Bodybuilder??
Thanks again

I really like the freedoms, however they can get pretty big.  That is my experience.  We are showing one right now and she is long patterned, big boned, thick,  and super sound on the move.  I am pourin the feed to her right now to get her to slow down a bit on the growth.  Her momma was moderate so I think the size is coming from him.   We are  If you are looking for an angus bull to make some cow power...take a look at SAV Net Worth.  He will sire a little front but the volume and power that he adds is amazing.  He is a true cattle changer.  Marathon will add power but we have had some crazy birth weights out of him.

OCC and Duff cattle are good programs. I can see why you clubby guys like them. But they are to moderate of cattle for our herd. I would suggest (beside the obvious picks of Lutton sons and  NI) a couple of bulls out of the Connealy program. I am impressed with Connealy Thunder. But the sleeper is Connealy Packer. Both will give you good feet (which seems to be lost on some CC breeders) but Packer gives you stoutness beyond compare. His calves are both thick and deep with great disposition. The down side for you clubby guys, would be they give you typical hair and bone for an Angus. But if you want fleshing ability in an attractive package these two bulls can do it. And both are defect free.

If you have clubby heifers and need a good bull, try Connealy Front Page. The experts at the now famous MBar ranch have used him on theirs with much success.

Exactly my thought SD. OCC and Duff are good programs, but just do not work for me, or my customers. Not enough total growth and frame.
So I guess it depends on what kind of cows your trying to breed HT. If you want to go clubbie, try the OCC and Duff, if your aiming more for total production and have a market to the commercial cattleman, try some of the Freedoms and N.Improvements.
Now a days there are so many different types of angus that their is truly something for everyone.

Ok...I jump on the wagon about the Duff and OCC cattle as well.  I just need more frame.  Now, I think that Marathon and Lookout have OCC in their top side.  The cow that they were out of is huge.  That might be a substitute.  Still...the lookouts that I have seen are smallish.

SH what do you think of the Limestone llc bulls Great Divide and Dark Horse? They both have OCC breeding but are I believe frame 6 bulls. It might be a good compromise for HT, closer to the upper end of moderate.

I personally am going to wait until there is more calves on the ground from them. I sure wouldn't want the moderator genes to be what they transmit. But if they throw constant 6 frame cattle it would work as an outcross for me.
