Whats the best angus bulls out there to make competitive pure blood angus steers? Go a occ hunter cow so maybe something that would work on occ bloodlines?

Recent champs I know of have been sired by:  Raptor, Cupid, Century Impressive, Rodman.  Cupid would not bring much to a Homer sired cow.  I would use Impressive, Windfall, Payday or something with Northern Improvement such as Lut, Juneau, Black Out or Spartan.  Dawson's Cherokee would also be on my short list.  I know this is a long list, but I don't know much about your cow and you need some choices.

Good list. The only other bulls I have had good luck with is Rito 9FB3 and OCC Freestyle.

Depends on where you want the calves to show out.  If you wanted Angus steers that will be competetive in Texas, one of the parents has to have something in it besides Angus to have a chance.

Who Made Who on Angus cows works, Heat Wave does sometimes (never for me).  I've had the best luck with half-blood Maine bulls on Angus cows.

But if you want true purebreds to show somewhere else in the country, I don't know.
