I have registered our first Angus calf and he came back with no EPD's. The dam is a Express heifer that has numbers and the calf is a AI calf out of First Impression. Any ideas on why the bull calf came back without EPD's?

My guess is the dam has "interim" epd's, so they are just an average of her parents.  Unless you have 2 other Angus calves with yours, to make a contemporary group, and you submit the birth and weaning records, she will not generate epd's on her paper.  I would just suggest doing an Igenity or Pfizer genomic test...that will generate all the epd's on your heifer.  Good luck!

I'm with bluffcountrycattle.
Dam was a heifer probably with interim epds.
Was she an embryo calf herself?
You need to send in AHIR records with a contemparary group or test him with the Zoetis HD 50K genomic test to get a full range of EDPs with a .35 accurancy instead of "Interim" ones.
