Well, our 4-H club is starting a new project year next week. 100 years in Canada  <party> Anyway, we have a bunch of very young, very new, kids joiniing. There knowledge of cattle is limited at best. Any recommendations for good resources we can use to teach them the basics about choosing, feeding, anatomy, etc. of a beef animal? Thanks in advance.

The resource books put out by the University of Ohio are great. Just go to  http://estore.osu-extension.org/productdetails.cfm?sku=117R. There is not a ton of information on the site about the books, but anyone who has turned the pages of one will likely say they are great for junior members. Around here, they are the educational foundation of 4-H and FFA  beef, swine and lamb projects.
