Red Angus breeders can use a registered black Angus bull on a Registered Red Angus female. The resulting black individual is somehow registered with the Red Angus as a black. In the resulting calves.........red ones can be interred in to the Red Angus assc.. The ABS Fusion bull is a result of that program. The program allows black Angus genetics to enter the breed as I understand it.
You do see the bull at the top/subject of the discussion is a Hereford, right?

I ended up with some semen-I imagine BWS are prob up there-WAS HE THICK? O0

He was fairly thick for back then, Blaine never said anything about calving issues, I would doubt you have any problems.  I think Blaine sold one to someone in Indiana that was reserve at the state fair.

Mark have you seen a video of this bull? I have to ask because he looks pretty straight rear legged to me in that picture anyway. I would be skeptical without seeing him move or know someone well that has seen him move. JMO

I saw that-too-havent herd from anyone who really knows the deal-I guess hes from a different era  BCC Double Down was an absolute Wreck structurally-but he sure worked on Horns-The soundest most correct bull I ever had was a son : UB DTR Junior Walker-he passed it along to his calves-Including a son Bartels Bros registered a ton of females out of I thought about this one on a Horn or Simm X maybe O0

The old Grand Slam bull!! I remember seeing some pretty good calves out of him for the times. His BW EPD through the Hereford Association is +7.2 and CED is -12.1 so take that as you may Mark. Would be interesting so how that bull would work today.
